Episode 16: Off-Road Pinstripes in Garrison, Missouri

In Episode 16, we return to Garrison, Missouri! Last time we were here, we found an amazing spot to camp among the tall pines, so we were back to try it out!

We drove down with our friends Tyler and Ashley. You might remember them from Episode 11 when they took their stock Chevy 1500 on the trails at Glade Top. They were bitten by the off-road bug that day and picked up this Jeep Commander. It's perfect for their large family and proved itself as trail worthy today!

We decided to set up camp first thing since we planned to be riding into the night. The kids loved helping to set up the tents and to build a fire ring with rocks.

Of course they enjoyed finding some mud as well.

When the rest of our group arrived, we headed for the trails.

We found tons of mud holes.

Apparently the guys like to play in the mud as much as the kids do...

With only a little light left, we decided to do some exploring on some trails we hadn't been on yet.

They were a little tight, and we eventually decided to turn back.

We had a great time talking and laughing around the campfire. We stayed up late telling scary stories, and Connor kept us entertained by retelling Uncle John's famous bear story about "Old Groaner."

On the way home the next day, we stopped by to help Ben's dad tear down his pool. I just had to share these picture of all the kids enjoying pizza after the work was done.
